Go easy with the rose water. It can be a little overbearing if you add too much. You need enough oil to fill a medium-sized saucepan to about 7cm up the side and it’s important the oil is hot enough so the doughnuts puff up and don’t absorb the oil.
Keep an eye out for Rosemary growing on fence lines, nature strips and in parks, you’d be surprised how many plants are growing where you least expect them. I have a huge bush in my front yard that keeps getting bigger every year without any effort or attention on my part and I am more than happy for my neighbours to harvest what the need!
