Chinese Five Spice Chicken Wings
Chinese Five Spice Chicken Wingettes
The fabulous @thespicepeopleaustralia sent me a care package of their beautiful new range of spice mixes to try, and I love them!
When I saw the Chinese Five Spice blend, I dropped into @ashburtonmeats to pick up some free-range chicken wingettes.
This super simple chicken recipe is a breeze!
You can ramp up the flavour by using more spice mix or give it a gentle hum by using less.
I’ve used a couple of teaspoons here for 15 wingettes.
It depends on how many wings you’re roasting Play it by ear and adjust the amount as you season them.
I like to spritz the spices with olive oil spray so they don’t dryburn in the oven.
If you or your loved ones prefer drumsticks, then go for gold. It’s great on any cut of chicken. Chicken ribs are a favourite of ours, too!
And, if you add a little garnish like spring onion, chilli and fried shallots, it will look like you’ve spent ages in the kitchen cooking!
Preheat oven to 190°C.
Sprinkle the wingettes with the spice mix and spray with olive oil.
Roast for 18-20 minutes or until cooked through.
